Two LNB's on one dish....15w and 30w

Posted by Andy on 4/18/2012 to Satellite Installing Blog
Here is a picture of the multi-LNB holder.  The LNB to the left is aimed at Hispasat and the one to the right is adjusted for Telstar 15w, so I finally got it.  But boy is that Telstar LNB high. I can only receive the transponder for MSNBC on Telstar, the others are not there so more tweaking is due.  Your idea to set the center LNB to the weaker satellite is a good idea, I will try that.

You are correct in that the LNBs are set in the opposite direction of the satellite as you stand behind the dish. Kind of interesting.  This dish is set up on the east coast, so in the sky, 30w is to the right of 15w.

I wonder if you didn't have the 30w in the center, but rather put it on the empty side of the bar and moved 15w closer to the center if that would boost 15w and get you more transponders.
