Use this sticky rubber like material underneath the mast when mounting to the roof. It provides a watertight seal so there will be no roof leak. Works much better than silicone. Comes in 1.5 inches x 10 Foot Roll to provide enough material for many installations.  You could also use this tape to waterproof and seal connections.
